It’s been ages since I’ve done a book tag and this is one I’ve been meaning to do for a while now. This is the totally should’ve book tag created by EmmmaBooks
1. Totally should’ve gotten a sequel
This is hard because I actually love standalones and I always think their best left alone. But honestly I’d love a Pride and Prejudice sequel. I’d loved to have seen Lizzy and Mr Darcy’s married life.
2. Totally should’ve had a spin off series
I’m not the biggest fan of spin off series. However I will always wish J.K Rowling would write about the marauders. In books. Not a play. Not a movie.
3. An author who totally should write more books
Stephen Chbosky. Luckily he is! His second book is out late next year.
4. A character who totally should’ve ended up with someone else
I’ve always thought Celaena from Throne of Glass should’ve ended up with a certain prince. But I’m currently rereading it and I kind of see why she didn’t now. But I still think it would’ve been a better end game.
5. Totally should’ve ended differently
The Queen of the Tearling Trilogy. I know a lot of people like the ending because it’s different but it just made the series fall flat for me.
6. Totally should’ve had a movie franchise
Percy Jackson but done right CAN YOU IMAGINE THE THEME PARK RIDES?
7. Totally should’ve had a TV show
I think there is one in the works but Throne of Glass, Game of Thrones style.
8. Totally should’ve had only one point of view
And the Mountain Echoed by Khaled Housseini. I recently DNFed this because it started strongly with these two amazing characters I fell in love with, then focused on characters who were boring in comparison for the next 100 pages. I lost interest.
9. Totally should’ve had a cover change
I barely care about covers anymore but honestly the Neapolitan Series. Their covers could be BEAUTIFUL but instead they just have models that hardly look like how the characters are described.
10. Totally should’ve kept the original covers
The Anna and the French Kiss trilogy. I like the new covers don’t get me wrong but I bought the first two (in hardcover) and they look so pretty and I was so excited to have them all match and then they go and change the cover. Ugh.
11. Totally should’ve stopped at book one
I think this about a lot of series because I love standalone’s and second books almost always let me down. Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder would’ve been a good standalone but mainly because the series went down hill after that for me. I’ll always recommend the first book, but not the other two.
