At the end of a year and beginning of a new one everyone who has a blog or youtube channel is making favourites lists. We make them in the hope that other readers will feel urged to pick up on of those books and hopefully like it just as much.
Last year I did a ‘challenge’ where I picked books from peoples favourites lists and read them myself. I enjoyed it so much that I want to do it again this year!
A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
Books On the Brain
Prince Charming by Rachel Hawkins
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
Perks of Being Noura
The Boy Who Steals Houses by C.G. Drews
Never Judge A Book By It’s Cover
Ten Thousand Doors Of January
The Anatomy of a Bookworm
Once I’ve read all of them (which will hopefully be before the end of the month) I will do an update post to let you know what I thought of them!
Others I’ve put on my TBR
Lies of Lock Lamora by Scott Lynch Bionic Bookworm – I already have quite a few large books to read this month but I will definitely get to this in 2020.
Bitter Orange by Claire Fuller – Kristen Kraves Books – I really want to save this one for the summer.
The Five by Hallie Rubenhold – A Little Blog of Books – I did almost read this last year during non-fiction November and now I’m regretting I didn’t get to it.
Sadie by Courtney Summers – The Orangutan Library – Another one I very nearly read in 2019. Another one I’ll be carrying over to this years TBR.
Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe – Pace, Amore, Libri – This is a non-fiction that I hadn’t heard of but so far I have seen it top two favourites posts of last year. It’s definitely got my interest.
The Dutch House by Ann Pratchett – 746 Books – I’m very excited to read this. I’ve been seeing a lot of praise for it. I just don’t know when I’ll be getting my hands on a library copy.
Is there any books you’ve seen on a favourites post you can’t wait to get to?
